Poor
This product arrived dried and ugly. The only way it was edible was to microwave it much longer than was indicated in the directions. Then to make poor worse, it created severe digestive problems.

save your money for something better
I use a variety of sugar free products including others by Wisconsin Cheeseman. How they missed so badly on this product amazes me. Normally I like the items from thier list but this fudge sent me into a severe bout of bathroom time after eating 2 small pieces. Don’t know if it was a batch with the ingredient mix off but once was enough to have me tossing the rest of the package in the trash. No way would I recommend this for ANYONE. Try the cherry cordials or the peanut butter cups but leave this off your list.

Sugar free, not taste free!
I purchased this for a diabetic family member. Very tasty. Would purchase it again. Delivered quickly.

Marzipan
Delicious marzipan (it’s rich stuff, though so don’t try to eat too much at one sitting!) and a good price. Enjoy!

Too much dye
The fruits…
were smaller than those that appeared in the picture and were dyed to an almost neon hue of red. Reminds me of icing from cakes you can get from the grocery store (white icing sprayed red–you can taste the dye). Not that bad but it got on my hands and was generally unappetizing.
The taste of the marzipan in the interior was pretty good. Sweet, nutty, but a little dry (compared to uber-expensive marzipans I can get from a specialty grocery store nearby). If it weren’t for the shipping (I had it 2nd-day shipped but it arrived 4 days later…) I’d say this is a pretty good deal.
ok marzipan, not so great fruit marzipan
I love marzipan anything! Growing up, I remember the fruit marzipan, it has flavoring in the outer layer (so, when you ate a strawberry marzipan fruit, it tasted strawberryish). I expected this marzipan to be the same.

I have to admit that they never said that they added the flavoring, but somehow the “old world” part kinda made me think it would be the same.

Decadent but Droopy
I don’t know if the company can be blamed, but the candy came fairly melted. It was rich toffee, and very edible. The nuts came off and settled in the bottom of the tin. I think a new shipping company might be an idea to consider. The quality of the toffee was very good, overall.

Last Christmas I ordered a package for each member of my family, appropriate for their particular decade. As we’re getting into our 50’s and 60’s it’s more and more difficult to buy for one another. This was the perfect gift in that it triggered countless happy memories, memories they shared with their spouses and children. The kids liked the gift because it drew out memories their parents hadn’t shared before. An unexpected holiday hit, that’s for sure.

The 50s rate, it was THAT great!
My husband loved his 50s box of old candies. We kept looking at all the candy saying, “Remember this one, remember that one? That one was MY favorite! That one is My favorite!” My husband would not share his candy (for the first time) as he savored every bite. I did get one box of candy from him. That violet flower-scented gum which was MY favorite from my childhood days. He absolutely loved this gift and I will buy again in the future. If you want a box of fun, this IS IT!

Great Product!
I bought this for my father for Father’s Day and he absolutley LOVED it! Everyone thought it was such a great and unique gift. My dad along with my aunt and uncle went through the box of candy with huge smiles and lots of “Oh my gosh! Remember these?” There was ALOT of candy in that box! I didn’t expect it to be that much!

Diappointed in the quantity
It was great to see all the old time candies that I remember from when I was a kid but I was disappointed in the amount you get for the price.

Great gift. It was just a little smaller than I thought it would be but the gift recipient loved it.

My grandparents loved this!
I bought this for my grandparents for Christmas last year. They loved it! They said it was like being back in their childhood, and many of their friends came over to sample their old favourites. Better The First Time
I just received this assortment of candy for the second time and I am quite disappointed. The only reason that I ordered the same one again was that my friend loves rock candy. The rock candy is no longer included, although it is still advertised as being in there.
In fact, a lot of the candy that was in there the last time is gone. The pieces that were full sized before are no longer full size and the candy tastes as if it was also made in the sixties and has been sitting around since then, waiting for some sucker to order it. Do yourself a favor and save your money, it is not worth the price they charge at all.

Disappointed in service
I ordered a 1960’s gift box for my father’s birthday. He was sent a 1980’s box instead. Trust me…avoid the hassle and buy a similar box from Hometown Favorites!

Blast From the Past
I ordered this product as a present for a 50th birthday gift. I was pleased with the assortment of candy as was the birthday girl. Box contained such things as wax lips, candy necklace, etc. Not as much candy as is pictured. The only thing that was irritating is that there wasn’t a choice for type of shipping and it was shipped via express mail at a cost of nearly $10 when I didn’t need it shipped that quickly. Other than that the product is fun and makes a good gift.

Excellent!
I bought these for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day, and I was a little nervous about it since I read these reviews first. Rest assured, the gift was perfect and he loved it! The shipping was prompt and the candies were apparently very tasty.

Lots of candy but not all 80’s vintage
There was definitely a lot of candy in the box but about half of them I wouldn’t say were 80’s candies. No redhots or sugar babies. I thought the description of what would be in the box included those, even though it did say that the selection would vary. I just was expecting more stuff that I remember from the 80’s.

Where are the razzles?
I haven’t bought it and won’t because how can you have an 80’s Retro Candy Gift Box without Razzles?
